TextedBack

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Overview

These terms govern your use of the TextedBack service, operated by Rapid Log Data Inc., an Ontario corporation ("TextedBack"). By signing up, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and fair.

What we do

TextedBack answers the calls your business misses. When a call to your number goes unanswered, it is forwarded to us. We send the caller a text in your business's name, find out what they need and where they are, and send you a short summary. We do not quote prices, diagnose problems, book jobs, or pretend to be you. If a caller asks whether they are talking to an automated system, we say so.

Your responsibilities

How calls and texts work

Forwarded calls are answered by our system, not by a person. Callers from mobile numbers receive a text; callers from landlines are invited to leave a message, which we transcribe. Texts are sent from a local number we assign to your business, not from your own number. We cannot text back a caller who hangs up before the call is forwarded to us.

Pricing and payment

The service is billed monthly in Canadian dollars at the rate shown on our website when you sign up, plus applicable taxes. Payment is processed through Stripe and renews automatically each month until cancelled. We will give reasonable notice of any price change.

Free trial and cancellation

Your first two weeks are free. You may cancel at any time, with no contract, cancellation fee or minimum term. When you cancel, the service runs to the end of your current billing period, after which forwarded calls are no longer answered by us and your assigned number is released. We will tell you how to turn call forwarding off.

Quality and limits

We work hard to make every text sound like your business and every summary accurate, but we are relaying what callers tell us and cannot verify it. We are not responsible for the content of callers' messages, for jobs that do not go ahead, or for calls that never reach us.

Limitation of liability

TextedBack is provided in good faith. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including lost business or revenue. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the three months preceding any claim.

Intellectual property

The job summaries we send you are yours. Our website, branding and systems remain the property of TextedBack.

Text messaging terms

These terms apply to anyone who receives a text message from TextedBack.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will tell clients by email about significant changes before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
